THE OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID awards all student loans. Once the financial aid office notifies us that you have received an award, the Office of Student Loans prepares the Master Promissory Note(MPN) for electronic signature, and notifies and coordinates the entrance counseling.

We’re located in University Hall’s lower level, room 018, which also houses the Accounting Office, Cashier,  and Controller’s office.

The Office of Student Loans office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Important Dates 2010-2011

• December 1, 2010   Master Promissory Notes for Federal Perkins Loans, Ohio Wesleyan Institutional Loan, Charles E. Schell Loan and Hoyt Loan for Spring Semester 2011 are available for online entrance counseling and signature at : https://www.ecsi.net/prom4R/.

•  All Students  not returning to Ohio Wesleyan need to complete the required Electronic Exit Interview for Federal Perkins loans and OWU Institutional loans: www.ecsi.net Choose : View Login Credentials to enter site and complete the electronic exit interview. OWU school code is 4R

Mission

In the Office of Student Loans, we help you with the:

• Entrance and exit counseling process required for you to accept a federal Perkins Loan.
• Completion of the electronic signature process for master promissory notes.
• Completion of necessary paperwork for OWU’s various institutional loan programs.

The Office of Student Loans assists former students and alumni with the repayment process for these loans and performs due diligence as required by the United States Department of Education.
